During this spring, we witnessed our very first Oxford to Cambridge race, quite accidentally - we were just going to check out Hammersmith area, but when we walked to the Hammersmith bridge, we noticed that no only the bridge was packed with uni kids, there are even people standing on top of the bridge (with beer in hand of course). And the river bank was also lined with excited kids and parents.
When the weather got a bit warmer, we decided to brave the cold and have a little picnic in the famous Ally Pally (Alexandra Palace)
One rainy weekend, we decided to go check out Winston Churchill's birth place - Blehiem Palace.
The palace was beautiful, although I think we enjoyed the garden surrounding it even more, especially these ancient oak trees
A visit to Shakespeares' home town, Stratford-Upon-Avon, is also a must. The beautiful surroundings of this town gave us a hint of what might have inspired the great playwrite.
